Team Social Media

Which do you prefer, Team Blogger or Team Social Media? Well, people nowadays are using bloggers and social media. So if you asked me if which do i prefer, will I prefer social media.

Social media refers to the means of interactions among people in which they create, share, and/or exchange information and ideas in virtual communities and networks. The Office of Communications and Marketing manages the main Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap chat, and YouTube. Social media is a phrase that we throw around a lot these days, often to describe what we post on sites and apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap chat, YouTube and others. But if we use the term to describe a site like Facebook, and also a site like Digg, plus a site like Wikipedia, then it starts to get more confusing. Just what is social media anyway? The term is used so vaguely that it can basically be used to describe almost any website on the internet today. Or maybe not. Some people have more of a restricted view of social media, often equating it to mean the same as social networking (a.k.a. Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Other people don't consider blogs to fall under the social media category.

Social media isn't all just fun and games with your friends, celebrities you admire, and brands you follow.Base on my research there are lots of common problems that most major social media platforms haven't totally solved, despite their effort to do so, it includes Spam, Cyber bullying, Self-image manipulation, Information overload, Fake news, and privacy or security. Social media makes it easy for spammers – both real people and bots – to bombard other people with content. If you have a Twitter account, you've probably experienced a few spam bot follows or interactions. Likewise, if you run a WordPress blog, you may have gotten a spam comment or two caught by your spam filter. Children and teenagers are especially susceptible to cyber bullying because they take more risks when it comes to posting on social media. And now that we all interact on social media via our mobile devices, most major platforms make it possible to share our locations, opening up the doors for cyber stalkers to target us. What a user posts about themselves on social media only represents a small portion of their life. While followers may see someone who's happy and living it up via their posts on social media in such a way that makes them feel boring or inadequate by comparison, the truth is that users have the power to completely control what parts they do and don't want to broadcast on social media to manipulate their own self-image. It's not unusual to have over 200 Facebook friends or follow over 1,000 Twitter accounts. With so many accounts to follow and so many people posting new content, it's almost impossible to keep up. Fakes new websites promote links to their own totally false news stories on social media in order to drive traffic to them. Many users have no idea that they're fake in the first place. Many social media platforms still get hacked from time to time despite having good security measures in place. Some also don't offer all the privacy options that users need to keep their information as private as they want them to be.

Therefor let's be careful in using social media, so that we will be safe. Because most of the people now are going to blackmail people through social media specially to your private pictures in Facebook and others.

The relation of the Students and Technology in Education

Technology today has truly come of age. It is a very vital factor. With each passing day, a new software or gadgets is being brought into the market that serves to improve our lives in one way or another and make it much easier and also to advance an already existing software or gadget. The technology plays a big role in making our lives easier, specially in education or the students like the High School and College student.

Technology that is made use of in the classroom is very beneficial in helping the students like me, to understand and absorb what they are being taught. There are some students that are visual learners. Some are using projection screen that will connect to computers that can be put in classrooms to let their notes opposed to simply sitting down and listening to the instructor teach. It is good for those students  who has a report because, it will easy for them to make their report and there's no need to write it on "manila paper" and use "pen tel pen". There is a software that can be use to supplement the class curriculum. the program or application make available to students quizzes, tests, activities and study questions that could help the students continue with learning process when they are out of the classroom.

Students make use of computers to come up with presentations and also make use of the internet to carry out research on a variety topics or assignment and project that our teacher give. we also get to know how to use the technology available in the world today through the tech and computer classes, like the Information and Communication Technology or ICT subject. Using these kind of classes, students will not have any difficulties in using the technology when they are out there in work place. It can also getting the students to improve there access to such educational opportunities.Teachers can also benefits the importance of technology, specially in making the grades of their students. there are some application that can compute number or grades of the students, that apps known as "excel". Technology also an apps that can use in presentation, it known as "PowerPoint presentation".

Lets go back about the relation of the students and technology. There are some disadvantages in technology to the students, because some of the student are abusing the technology. There are some apps that can destruct the student and it can affect their grades and performance in school,because in technology there are lots of games. Mostly of the millennial now a days are destructed in games that can cause of having failing grades like "75 below. So that there are people says that technology "spoils" children or students. 

Therefore, In using technology we need to learn how to use it right and have a discipline, so that it can't destroy our performance in school or in the house.
